Happy Birthday, JJ!
No sorrow, only joy!
He who one day last October
Took the Angel Express
Right before our very eyes.
Joyfully, accepted,
No less by Mom and Dad,
And the One who paid the price
For his ticket, with His life,
Swooped our little brother, our husband,
Our father, our grandfather, our friend, our uncle
Our cousin, our JJ,
Out of our reach, but into His.
JJ, known as the Storage Guy,
Brings tears to our eyes
Because we miss him so.
So hard to let go!
So we won’t, we won’t let go
It’s not like all the air has gone
But it was the strata
That held the data
And air of JJ’s
Love and care.
We will hold it’s place
In the truth of who we are
Because who we areIs forever changed,
Because he has gone
Too soon, too soon,
Carried by Angels
Who swept into his room
And Joy exchanged
Rest
In Him who died
For our sins.
Salvation came to JJ
Earlier than ought,
But ours, tho day to day
Soon will be our lot
And like our brave brother,
Who faced death with
Grace and honor,
Chose surrender
To the One who gave
Him reassurance
That this too will soon
Be over
And he stood his post
Most Splendidly
He kept the faith
And so shall we.Oh, JJ!
How you taught us how to live!
By loving us, you gave the will
To forgive, to look ahead
To enjoy the gifts that only God
Can give.
Now we say, happy birthday
To our JJ
Your death, like a great explosion
That shattered our status quo
Has shaken to the core
Our reality
And left it reeling,
But for one thing we know
Where you are, we will go and
While here
We will love and hold you and
Each other forever near.
Love you more, Brother Bear!
