A Secret Place

I have found a secret place where order is the rule.
The chaos that turns and twists the world would say that I’m a fool.

For love of balance, peace and joy, are not worthy to compete,
With the ugliness of desperation, the death wish of defeat.

The cynical laugh that would love to strip all people of individual thought
Has tried in vain to ridicule what love has deeply taught.

The strength, the light, which lies within when powered by God’s grace
Has taken my trembling foot and has given it a God-speed pace.

And I walk and I dance against the grain of multitudes that agree
For my spirit bears witness inside and I rejoice! that I am free.

So laugh on you empty carcass that is ready for the sod,
For I stand triumphant knowing Him, Jesus Christ, my God.

And the faith that trusts His every word, absolute, complete and sure,
Has brought me quite substantially, an absolutely concrete cure.
